in collaboration with théodora menthonnex (sound engineer, CH), moaning is a sound piece created from recordings made inside the Grande Dixence dam
it explores the resonant relationship between the dam and the church of Hérémence, constructed in part from the dam’s materials
through their massive structures, the tunnels of the dam and the organ pipes of the church enter into dialogue, revealing shared acoustic qualities and echoing architectures.
